Norwich is a haven for brunch enthusiasts like me

The Waffle House was one of the first places I visited during my time in Norwich. Although I have a sweet tooth myself they have both sweet and savory options along with a changing specials menu. They also offer vegan, low gluten, and wholemeal waffles to accommodate any dietary restrictions. My favorite waffle is the dark Belgian chocolate and honeycomb mousse waffle. Rich and decadent, it paired perfectly with my cappuccino. Located on St. Giles Street just a short walk from the Market. If you are craving a waffle I highly recommend The Waffle House!

Cafe no. 33 is known for being one of the best if not THE best brunch spots in the city center. It's too good not to tell everyone about. There is always a line outside the door. The line moves fast and is most definitely worth the wait which is why I found myself here at least once a month. They have a wide range of options as well as a large vegan menu and a full cake menu. I have tried many dishes but once I tried the chorizo hash it became my go-to and I almost never strayed. The spice of the chorizo paired with the tangy-sweetness of the balsamic glaze and freshness of the greens was an incredible experience that had me returning often. Probably one of my most highly recommended spots in Norwich.

J.C. Pinto opened just a few months before I returned home from Norwich and I'm so glad I was able to try it! I sat in the main room with my housemates, Sam and Libby, where we had a view of one of my favorite stores in Norwich, Thorns. I was pleasantly shocked reading the menu because they offered turmeric lattes which I had been craving for the longest time and had not been able to find anywhere. Along with my turmeric latte I ordered the Pinto's cheese toastie. This was an elevated take on comfort food's classic grilled cheese. It consisted of Emmental cheese and red onion chutney on homemade bread with warm tomato soup dip on the side. The bread was toasted to perfection, each bite allowing me that initial crunch before arriving at the gooey cheese in the middle. I wish I could have visited this spot a few more times before my departure but it will definitely be on the top of my list once I return to Norwich.
